Robert's character & his episodes:
Ray Schenkel (bad guy). In the episode titled, "Demons," Robert Patrick plays a convicted rapist recently released from prison. The cop who originally arrested him is convinced Schenkel will strike again. Elliott Stabler goes undercover to win his confidence and hopefully catch him in the act and put him away for good. This was a meaty part for Robert playing a despicable guy that makes your skin crawl...and he was very, very good at it. There is a question as to whether Schenkel's lawyer might have a case for entrapment but the episode ends at the arrest. The episode "Demons," with 16.8 million viewers, was the highest rated premiere episode for Law & Order SVU in the seven year history of the show.
